Reading the ticker tape

I thought that an important element of any political discourse in the peculiar political environment in which we find ourselves would be the identification, and dissection, of right-wing talking points. ¬†Each day, a fresh set is trotted out to distract from what is actually happening, and everyone from Rush Limbaugh to Shooter242 repeat them by rote; no tactic is easier to spot and refute, and that’s what I’m going to attempt to do here.

I’d like input from readers; sometimes following the righty ticker tape machine gets to be like Lucy and Ethel on the assembly line at the candy factory, with the crap streaming by so fast it gets out of hand.

I’ll also set up some categories for the more permanent talking points, such as Chappaquidick, Clinton, and the New York Times, which the righties use as fallback when things really get bad.

Any other ideas?

    On top of Old Smokey

    Except Betty Grable
    Without any clothes

    Along comes Roy Rogers
    With such good luck
    He sits down beside her
and starts to talk about Trigger.

Find the actual, physical location of Wingnut Central. Tap the phones and email (illegally, just the way they like it ) to get the straight, undiluted ,daily dose of crazy-stupid, and have a head start on the wingnuts. :)
