Pissing Everyone Off, And Its Consequences

A more than usually horrifying video has cropped up (above), and as hard as you might find this to believe, it has right-wingers knickers in a twist.  Not about the pissing, naturally, but about that anyone would dare to find it unseemly.  Behold:

Of course, since we’ve dedicated more than a decade now to the undeniably worthy cause of killin’ Habibs for Jesus, such events are no longer surprising, either for their sadistic homoeroticism, nor their utter disdain for the humanity of others.  The sort of violent, eliminationist rhetoric that was mischievously concocted by cynics who clearly knew better, just to sell their ridiculous wars, has “trickled down,” if you’ll pardon the pun, a little too well.  As the tweeter (and wingnut welfare queen) above illustrates, we now believe that everyone America’s bloodthirsty military murders is a terrorist, and figuratively, if not literally, ought to be pissed on. Even if they’re obviously unarmed and appear to have been pushing a wheelbarrow at the time of their deaths.

Well, if that ain’t keeping America safe, I don’t know what is. I had grave reservations when Bush decided we would drop out of the International Criminal Court, and forever abandon the “good guy” image that helped us win WWII and later become the heroes of Nuremburg, but in my worst nightmares I never thought it would come to this. Thanks a lot, Fox, Limbaugh, Savage, et al; now somebody will need to “apologize for America.” But early indications show you won’t be among them.

This article was about the worst thing I read in 2011. It made me so sick; it was as bad or worse than any true-crime story, and I’ve read more than my fair share of those.

I got a call on my landline recently from some telemarketer claiming to be from some military fundraiser, and I asked him if he was seriously asking me for a donation. I asked him, don’t you get the lion’s share of my tax dollars already? And he said he was collecting for Iraq and Afghanistan vets, and I said, they shouldn’t have volunteered to go in the first place, and we should get the hell out of there anyway and the whole thing is a DISGRACE.

    He hung up on me.

Well, double you whoah, whoah, whoah. Those asses need to hear stuff like that daily, and I bet they do. I especially like the part about where your tax dollars are going.

Oh, and Goldfarb is illiterate (besides being a sociopath) – the correct grammar is “I coudn’t care less” – duh. He probably uses the word “irregardless” also, too. ha

I was going to mention that, but I thought it best to put it in without comment. I had a teacher for a mother; she’s probably rolling over in her grave.

There was a story yesterday in my local newswipe about the court-martial of the soldiers involved in the Haditha Massacre in Iraq all those many years ago. This is still going on? Indeed it is.

And of course the defense is always the same, just following rules of engagement. When they “clear” a house of “hostiles” they kill everyone. It’s what they are supposed to do. They are not supposed to determine whether or not someone IS “hostile”, perish the thought.

Or take the drone attacks in Pakistan (among other places.) It doesn’t matter who is on the vid-screen. When the order comes to liquidate, you liquidate. ROE.

Getting to piss on the corpses of whoever is a bonus for troops in the field.

Why are we supposed to worship these people?

Remind me. I think I forgot again.

Well, because they’re Our Troops, out there defending our freedoms.
I would suggest that that little tableau would make an appropriate memorial for the War on Terror; maybe not as classy as raising the flag at Iwo Jima, but we memorialize the war we’ve got, not the war we pretend to have.
